Corporate environmental governance

Cover: Corporate Environmental Governance

Associate Professor Lanni Füssel (Department of Organization and Industrial Sociology) is the editor of a new book from Studentlitteratur.

'Corporate Environmental Governance' brings together contributions that add to our understanding of how the natural environment and the quest for sustainability is institutionalized in organizational policies and practices.

Several CBS researchers have contributed to the book, see below.

The aim of the book is to reflect upon current approaches and to contribute to an agenda for studying the relatively new research field of organizations and the natural environment. In doing so, this book contri butes to conceptual as well as empirical approaches to studying how different organizations deal with issues of the natural environment and sustainable development from an organizational and management studies perspective.

One central aim of this book is to present a variety of approaches to studying the field of organizations and the natural environment. Some contributions are founded within managerial and organizational economics perspectives, while others adopt a social constructivist approach. Readers will thus be presented with a host of issues concerning how environmental and sustainability management works in real life, as well as different theoretical approaches to studying these issues.

The book is intended primarily for graduate and post-graduate students, as well as researchers within organization, business and social science research related to environmental issues. However, managers involved in organization and communication of environmental and social issues could also benefit from reading this book.
