Symposium: Games as part of university-level Business Administration and Economics programs

CBS and CBS Learning Lab are hosting a symposium on educational games from November 30 - December 1, 2009.

Although research about game-based learning is already available since the 1980s, it is still a highly topical issue. Several conferences, research and literature support the application of games as a learning tool. But what is their place in Business Administration and Economics programs at university-level at present?

Games as part of university-level Business Administration and Economics programs

How do universities/business schools use games in these kinds of programs to support learning and teaching? If you are interested in answers to these and further questions about game-based learning we warmly invite you to attend our symposium.

This event will serve as a forum for intensive discussion and collaboration as well as for exchange of experiences and ideas among academics who are interested in the use of educational games in Business Administration and / or Economics programs in higher education.

Through presentations, workshops and discussions scholars and game developers from different countries will share their hands-on experiences in consideration of development, implementation, evaluation and learning outcome of educational games.

Another goal of the symposium is the expansion of an international network as well as the support of further research and collaboration within the field of game based learning in Business Administration and Economics programs at university level.

Questions: Yvette Riedl-Steiner, e-mail.
